Lauren Malara is a proud NOCCA alum who went on to receive a degree in Acting from The Theatre School at Depaul University. She is also Bob Curry Fellow from Second City Theatricals.
Previously, Lauren has taught and performed with the famed Second City Theatricals and acted as Training Center Manager of ComedySportz Chicago.
In July of 2017, she was crowned The Funniest Person in New Orleans.
She has taught and implemented an improvisation curriculum at New Orleans Center for Creative Arts.
She is a founding member of Hey Friend Productions. Some of their projects include Killin It and the Bear With Me Open Mic.
She has hosted for corporate clients such as Northwestern Mutual, Takeda and AT&T, to name a few.
Currently she teaches Comedy Studies at her alma mater New Orleans Center for Creative Arts.
